The Targa Florio was undoubtedly one of the most iconic races in the motorsport history. Conceived in 1906 by Vincenzo Florio, it unfolded on the winding roads of Sicily’s Madonie Circuit and immediately captivated the attention of leading car manufacturers and the era’s most celebrated drivers.

This limited-edition collector’s photo book by Roberto Barbato, featuring around 350 exclusive images in both colour and black-and-white, chronicles the race editions from 1972 to 1977 – the final chapter of this legendary competition. At its heart are the cars that shaped the history of motorsport: Ferrari, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia.

Roberto Barbato's books are ideal for model-makers or fans of a subject who enjoy looking at as many photos as possible (even if the quality varies). Since they contain almost exclusively images and almost no text, they are not suitable as a reference work in which the story can be read.
