Rally di Sicila & Targa Florio Rally 1972-1983 Photo Book

This collectible photo book celebrates the Rally Internazionale di Sicilia/Targa Florio Rally, whose inaugural edition in 1972 was won by Sandro Munari and Mario Mannucci in a factory Lancia HF.

The following year, in 1973, the same crew triumphed once again with the Fulvia HF, finishing ahead of Amilcare Ballestrieri and Silvio Maiga in the same model Fulvia HF. Sergio Barbasio and Gino Macaluso secured third place in the Fiat 124 Spider, followed by Maurizio Verini and Bruno Scabini, also driving a Fiat 124 Spider.

In the years that followed, the rally rose even further in prestige, becoming a round of the European Championship and, from 1978 onward, merging with the legendary Targa Florio.

This book covers the editions from 1972 to 1983 and features approximately 450 exclusive photographs—both in color and black and white—along with personal recollections from several key figures (Franco Cunico, Mauro Pregliasco, Tony Fassina, Lucky, Mario Pasetti, Dario Cerrato, Geppi Cerri, Rudy Dalpozzo, Emilio Radaelli) and complete classification results.

Roberto Barbato's books are ideal for model-makers or fans of a subject who enjoy looking at as many photos as possible (even if the quality varies). Since they contain almost exclusively images and almost no text, they are not suitable as a reference work in which the story can be read.
