Matra race cars are legendary today, not only because of the Formula 1 title in 1969 or the Le Mans wins from 1972 to 1974, but also because of their V12 sound. Starting 1969 the fans and hobby photographers Yves Ronga and Luc Joly frequented visited the circuits with their cameras. In this books they share their best photos and stories connected to the French team. The pictures do not only show the cars during the races, but also the Matra work shop and during testing. This story is added up with images from today and testimonies of those who made the Matra legend: pilots, engineers and mechanics.
