Audi goes America!
By the end of the eighties Audi went to the US to show the potential of the quattro technology. With the Audi 90 quattro IMSA-GTO especially built for this purpose, the German manufacturer entered in the 1988 TransAm series. Audi won the championship and joined the GTO class of the IMSA series for 1989. They signed former Hans-Joachim Stuck and World Rally Champion Walter Röhrl to form one team competing in the championship as well as the all-American pairing Hurley Haywood and Scott Goodyear. Although they missed the title, Audi proved the enormous advancement of the four-wheel drive quattro technology. This DVD contains two films which review the 1988 and 1989 seasons. The legendary Audi Sport films are digitally remastered and in very high quality.
