Paul Breuer – Car & design - passion & destiny

This book is the story of the car designer Paul Breuer. Born 1946 in Verviers (Belgium), he was the first Belgian designer who lived from his work abroad. He was hired by OSI in 1966, then worked at Fiat’s Centro Stile before moving to Ford’s Turin styling office. Later we worked for Open Design and finally as a freelance designer until 2021.

Among other things, Breuer designed the Fiat 128 Sport and many showcars for Ford, but he also created the racing liveries for Luigi Racing. During his careers we he met and worked with some of the biggest names in automotive design.

In his autobiography – which is illustrated with more than 1000 documents and images -  he reveals hidden stories behind some mythical cars, tells what design means, beyond simply drawing cars and gives an inside look at automotive and industrial styling in Turin - the design capital of these golden years.
