Written in french, this book is the new, greatly expanded edition (nearly 500 pages in total) of Dominique Vincent's book “MATRA, toute l’histoire, toutes les courses” (MATRA, the whole story, all the races), published in 2017 by L’Autodrome.

The first part of the oom is devoted to the meteoric rise of Matra Sports and the history of each model (F3, F2, F1, sports prototypes, production cars entered in competition). The second part recounts the history of each chassis, and the third and final section, entirely new and written by Philippe Coblence, a renowned engine engineer at MATRA and Renault Sport F1, is dedicated to engines: V12, V12T, F12, V6T, U8, L4, etc.

This edition features more than 1,200 photos and documents, insightful testimonials, and new or expanded chapters. Throughout the pages, the human, technical, and sporting dimensions of a unique legacy of audacity and innovation emerge.
