The Lancia Delta S4 is, without a doubt, one of the greatest legends of the Group B era and still has countless fans today. This book tells the story of the car in a very unusual, yet highly appealing way.

It follows the car’s history in chronological order — event by event, including the most important test cars — but not in the conventional way. Instead of period photographs, the book is illustrated mainly with beautifully executed side-view drawings of the cars as they appeared in competition. This approach is applied not only to the works cars, but also to privately entered S4s in international and national rallies, as well as in rallycross.

To round out the story, the book also includes similarly attractive illustrations of the service vehicles and team clothing. The accompanying texts are relatively short and enriched with quotes from contemporary witnesses. They also provide chassis numbers, while the visual presentation is completed by a selection of historic photographs and rare period documents.
