Die Legende kehrt zurück - Entdeckung und Wiederaufbau des Porsche 911 S/T von 1971

Gérard Larrousse started the 41st Monte Carlo Rally on 21 January 1972 in his 911 2.5 S/T – and finished second overall. The chassis number of this now legendary rally car was 911 230 0041.

After its appearance in Monaco, the car competed in the 1,000-kilometre race at the Nürburgring in May 1972 and once again in the Rallye des Cévennes in November of the same year. After that, all traces of the Porsche works car were lost.

It was not until the 1990s that the 0041 reappeared in a deplorable condition, but luckily ended up in expert hands. Perfectly restored, the 911 2.5 S/T won the 2006 Historic European Rally Championship with Michael Stoschek, in addition to numerous other victories. And, of course, 0041 also returned to the Monte Carlo Rally. That was in 2015.

This richly illustrated book describes the rare Porsche 911 2.5 S/T model, of which only 21 were built, and traces the history of chassis number 0041 in detail.
