Tuners, tinkerers and racers in the GDR - all kinds of anecdotes about technical specialities from private hands have been written down by Harald Täger, Managing Director of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Motorsport-Verband. Mostly things had to be improvised back then. Moreover, things were invented and developed in backyards or garages.
