This very high quality book is a project planned by Phil Hill together Doug Nye and Paul Vestey long time ago. The 488 pages are jam-packed with Phil’s fabulous period photography and with his personal commentary accompanying each image. The aim was to reproduce Phil’s ‘voice-over’ commentary about his memories. His incredibly rare photographs are presented in broadly chronological order, year by year, with a broad-brush introductory text - first to each year, then to each specific event.
Very sadly, it took too long for Phil to see this end product, but very close to the end of his life, he read the early finished text and said “I just love it”.
