Gijs van Lennep

Gijs van Lennep is one of most successful Dutch racing drivers. He started back in 1958 with a VW Beetle and from there made his way through Formula Vee, Formula 3 and races in a Porsche Carrera 6 to the Porsche works team. His victory in Le Mans 1971 with the Martini 917 is unforgotten. Until the end of his career 1976 he stayed with the German brand and he scored his second Le Mans victory that year.

Parallel van Lennep started occasionally in F1 between 1971 and 1975 where he was less successful then in sport car racing

This book is his official biography. It is a classy production with many large images from all parts of his career. The Dutch texts tell many interesting anecdotes and extensive statistics complete the work.
